Target Alpha

I got this one from Andrew’s Old School Pinball which was sold to him by Rich and Wade who are taking the Pinball class. Funny how things come around. They gave me the original score cards that went with the machine so now, everyone’s happy. This is a 4 Player version of El Dorado, and a lot of people say it is nowhere as good as E.D. as the target resetting for each ball changes the whole strategy. And that is exactly why I say it’s impossible to compare them, as, strategically, they are two completely different games. Apples and Oranges. It is a great game where you still want to get all the targets down (see El Dorado), and doing so can earn you a special or a free ball. It also has a different feel than E.D. and doesn’t drain the ball as easily. I like playing this one better sometimes.

Produced by Gottlieb, 1976. 4 players. 8.7 out of 10 on the Play-O-Meter

High Score 666,666 by Neil on January 24, 2004
